A Mindset to Achieve Greatness in Uncertain Times
“If you will live like no one else, later you can live like no one else.”
Myth: An online Business should only be considered a hobbie
Fact: Without given the recognition and effort it will never become more than that
But instinctively I think most of us know we didn’t enter the online business world just for fun. No, we did it with that prevailing hope that there is a way to not only gain control over our financial future but also to help lead others in the direction of that same freedom.
I’ve heard all to often that misconceived way people will tend to look at their online businesses. You know the scenario, “this is just a little side thing…”, or whatever they happen to say about it. It’s like people are afraid they might fail and be thought of as a fool. Or maybe they just don’t want to take the risk or responsibility of letting down the ones they are doing it for.
So they give to themselves the allowance of excuses. Excuses to not fully focus on it. Excuses to not fully engage themselves in it. But worst of all, excuses for not strategically mapping out their short term and long term plans for success.
With this kind of unhealthy perspective it would be hard for anyone to succeed. You’ve heard it said, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail.” It’s very sad for me to listen to the stories of how people almost fulfilled their dreams, but just didn’t follow through on them.
A healthy mindset to begin with, would be one where you acknowledge that the potential of your online business or any business inevitably begins with you.
Only with the right perspective can you begin to develop an honest approach for planning your future.
To really excel and achieve greatness in uncertain times you must have a greater purpose, a vision, a reason; an attitude that won’t let you quit. In spite of what is going on around you, you must keep your forward posture.
Choose to live like no one else, so later you can live like no one else. Take your vision or purpose and make it plain on paper. Map out your short term goals and your long term goals. Allow them to transform into habits and ultimately a way of life.
Remember anything significant in your life will require the investment of time. And the time you invest to plan and prepare will repay you a thousand times over.
Here’s to the future!

I totally agree with your post. If you treat your business like a hobby you will only ever make ‘hobby’ money.
When you start putting systems in place that increase and support productivity (working smarter) will your business grow how you want it to grow.

Karl
