As True Entrepreneurs Should We Challenge Duplication

Is Duplication Really The Answer

I suppose where we initially go wrong is when we just assume that what everybody is saying is true.  Sometimes its just easier to believe what everyone is saying than to have to think for ourselves.  We probably at some time or another have all done this.  You know the cliches we pass around in the business world.

The fact is when we hear something enough times we simply take it for the truth.  Whether it is or not is a different story all together.

The particular phrase I am talking about right now is, “Systems are duplicatable… people are not.”  We have all heard this said and probably believed it even to our harm.  While many times these well intentioned ideas are there to encourage and direct people, the fact is they can be misleading.  When everyone takes these opinions to be indisputable facts we end up with discouraged and confused people.

I believe we all have different gifts and talents.  And as a whole we as humans will be very unsatisfied in our work and our life unless we are utilizing our strengths and challenging our weaknesses.  This is how we grow.  We should not be more focused on making sure we only do things our team can mimic.  Now don’t get me wrong I am not saying there is not a place for duplication.  But it is surely not the standard by which we should apply our skills.

It’s the 1% who don’t blindly follow these cliches that often out earn the 99% who do.

When people become too concerned with being duplicatable they can become so inflexible in their approach that it actually has a negative effect on their business and their team.

Just remember things don’t have to be 100% duplicatable to be worth trying.  Things are constantly being tweaked and perfected.  We as humans will continue to be unique.  No one system will be right for everybody.  Just keep in mind, that is a good thing.
In business systems are tools.  It’s good to have a selection in your toolbox.  It’s also important to set an example for others by working with people as individuals.  This way you can get people going with the right tools that compliment their strengths and propel them forward.  Rather than squeezing them into a system that worked for someone else.

Being unique and flexible also has a way of attracting more people to your business.

The point I am trying to make is its important to capitalize on your own strengths and work with others according to theirs.

Then you add a Proven Marketing System, and you have the formula for creating unlimited profits and abundance in your marketing business…

Well actually I have never heard that exact phrase. I kind of like it.

I absolutely agree (see the book, Now Discover Your Strengths ,if you haven’t read it) but I don’t think your end point contradicts the original saying. In fact it reinforces it.

As I read it you are saying; rely on the unique strengths of others. The original says; Not everyone can be replaced because they have unique strengths.
